10 quick tips when going on the road.
1. Try going on tour to different parts of the country, if your band isn’t big enough to tour in the cities like San Francisco or New York. Go to the cities right next to them. If you can’t book a show in San Francisco, for example, then book one in San Jose because they have smaller venues and are more willing to book your band for a show.
An artist can have a successful tour without label support. Artists now can create a music website, like Myspace, to have a home for their music and a place fans can listen. There are numerous bands that do not have a label supporting them but they are able to tour.
